![]() ![]() In Vanilla, you cant see ilvl, so gambling amulets at level 90 for example (requiring an ilvl 90+ amulet to get an output ilvl 90 amulet) could result in you getting an ilvl 85 amulet, which isnt high enough, so people would make sure to always use a level 93+ character. Otherwise, you can just gamble amulets to make sure the level is going to be high enough for your desired mods. ![]() Since amulets not from maps/diablo/nith will drop only as high as ilvl 88 (or 87 from champs, or 85 from trash in level 85 areas), you'd have to be a level 92 character to be able to make ilvl 90 amulets with them (the 88's). To determine the crafted amulet's output ilvl, its just the average of clvl and ilvl of the input item, but with rounding down at both steps: TL DR = 88+ for +2 skills rather than the much lower alvl mods that give +2 to just one skill tree.
